ABSTRACT:
The perirectal fistulas in patients with CD (Crohn’s disease) lead to a significant deterioration in quality of life with a high rate of failures and recurrences after conservative and surgical treatment. Biological therapy represents a major advance in the treatment of CD.
However, introduction of such treatment should be preceded with drainage of pus accompanying anal fistulas and supplementation with intravenous antibiotic therapy.
